Calling all food lovers.. looking for an organic restaurant? I have just the place for you on Florida’s east coast. Indialantic is right beside Melbourne, FL and about an hour from Orlando. Next time you’re visiting Disney, Cocoa Beach or taking a road trip down Florida’s east coast you have to stop at The Jungle Organic Restaurant and Market.
Early September, I drove over to Indialantic, FL and found the coolest beaches and FOOD. Incase you didn’t know, I started this series when I got sick of WAY. TOO. MANY. google searches for “organic food near me”. This is part of our Wellness Everywhere series that is launching soon!
The Jungle is worth any drive (from anywhere) to try indulge. I am a picky eater when it comes to quality and nourishment so, if you care into health or wellness, this is just the place for you! The Jungle has organic, gluten-free, dairy-free and farm-to-table menu choices that are above and beyond my highest expectations!
Indialantic organic restaurant
It has been fun compiling Florida’s east coast organic eats for you! I have found the most delicious and diverse restaurants that have menu items that are free from soy, dairy, corn, gluten, dairy and GMOs. The Jungle is no exception.
My husband and I hit the east coast of Florida for the beach since we have red tide in Fort Myers. We had no idea that we would find such delicious restaurants that were dedicated to local farmers and pure organic ingredients. The Jungle features a freaking bomb menu with items ranging from avocado toast to burgers to fresh juice.
Whether you want to dress up, dress down, be in your bathing suit cover up or come in for a big event, they’ve got you covered. It’s wonderful to feel in place and that is how you will feel! The atmosphere is chill and the music is perfect for this jungle themed restaurant. I dare you not to take photos of your food.. it’s so pretty!
So, what should you get?
First, our waitress brought out a delicious soup sampler. At any given time, you can walk into The Jungle and choose from their soup menu. They have over 120 soups on rotation and they change seasonally. We tried the Coconut Curry (v), Beef Chili (gf), French Onion (gf) and Lentil (v). Every soup was perfectly unique, the seasonings were incredible and there was no need for extra salting. Chef, you know what you’re doing!
Next, the food and drinks. The chef surprised us with delicious beet juice that was AH-mazing. Now, if you aren’t a beet person… that’s okay, wait! This juice is made with more than beets. There are sweet carrots, vegetables, lime and whatever other seasonal produce they can find in the back. It was so dang refreshing and perfect to share while we waited for our meals.
Then, we got the (massive) Roasted Eggplant and Feta Salad. Honestly, I can’t say I’ve had such a delicious salad. The balsamic roasted eggplant was the icing for me; they tasted like smokey caramel gold. Pair that with cucumbers, onions, feta, beets, greens, tomato, garbanzo beans and balsamic and you have yourself a meal! (I didn’t have the beans but my husband loved them!)
Onto bigger thinks aka more food 😉
Stuffed Avocado. In the age of everyone loving avocado, how could I not get this? I mean.. it’s savory, hearty, filled with healthy fats and bursting with flavors. The dish was made with beans, tomatoes, egg, onion, lettuce, avocado, peppers, red cabbage and cilantro lime sour cream. Let’s take a moment to talk about these portion sizes…. HUGE. You can easily split these plates and walk away happy. But not before dessert! Can every organic restaurant have food like this!?
What he got: Veggie Burger or meat burger? You can’t tell the difference with this delicious plant-based burger on their house made gluten-free bread. My husband said “I don’t even miss the meat here.” and he’s a meat LOVER. The bread is grilled to a perfect crisp with cheese melted over the patty. It’s savory, delicious and oh so classic. Here’s what it had: cheese, ketchup, mayo, tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, millet burger and bread. Like WHOA. This is for your classic burger lover.
There’s always room for dessert, duh
We looked at the dessert menu and quickly came to the consensus of the gluten-free carrot cake. I am a treats girl, okay, let’s just lay that out there. So, I take treats real serious y’all.
This carrot cake was just stunning. I am talking MAGNIFICENT. Light, sweet, refreshing, earthy and nutty all in one. The sunbutter frosting brought the sweetness down and the toasted coconut topping added a slight crunch. I almost asked for a second piece so I could more closely investigate it.. you know… for this blog post of course.
Fun fact: When you walk in the door you’ll be greeted with a “welcome to the jungle.” It’s amazing.
If you’re gluten, dairy, soy, corn, refined sugar or oil free, they have something for you. So, don’t be afraid to ask!
What they’re all about

I love killing two birds with one stone.
