Spokane organic juice bar: Wellness Tree, is the best place to experience Spokane culture and good food all in one stop. Located in the historic Perry District, the Wellness Tree is a perfect place for everyone. Acai bowls, smoothies, waffles, juice, coffee and shots are all part of their offerings. It doesn’t get better!
I’ve lived in Spokane for 3 years now and I can’t remember the amount of times I’ve been in to this organic juice bar. 2 times a week – minimum – is a conservative guess. We conveniently moved a solid 5 minute drive from the Wellness Tree and I am pleased with our delicious. Plus, each time we drive to our church (often) we pass by it. The Wellness Tree is dedicated to health and holistic wellness. They strive to accommodate any kind of person whether it’s dad, mom, kids or grandpa Joe. Their diverse menu has peanut butter milk-shake likes smoothies or total green juices. There really is something for everyone.
Spokane Organic Juice Bar
The first time I visited the Wellness Tree was a total different experience than now when I go in. They had a different menu, store bought granola and store-bought dairy-free milks. Now, they make their own gluten-free granola and nut milks daily. The quality of the product you get is phenomenal and worth every penny. They use the highest quality ingredients and don’t skimp when it comes to your health. Here are some of the killer products they use in house: Sun Potion, Essential Medicina, Bulletproof and many other top notch brands. Plus, the fact that they take time to make their own milk and granola means you don’t get the added gums and junk that comes in boxed items.
As you’re driving South through on Perry, you’ll notice a cute shop located next to Perry Street Brewing. This is is the Wellness Tree organic juice bar. The steel tree outside and the trendy glass garage door set the stage for an incredible food experience. Inside you’ll find lots of plants and flowers from local makers. The wooden crates paired with the wall succulents create a sense of nature , it’s perfect. The high ceiling and garage door that opens in the warmer weather make it that much better. It’s such a great ambience that I actually meet my nutrition clients here often. The juice bar is also attached to a naturopathic clinic. You really do get it all!
So, what should you get?
Oh goodness, there are so many choices but I will give you some of my favorite combos. It’s hard for me to stick to the menu so, I’ll let you screen shot what I get so you can show them with you go in (sorry Lauren hehe). My purpose for creating what I get is to make it as nutrient dense as possible while keeping a delicious flavor. Almost every time I come in, I get one of these:
- Bowl – Green Bowl with berry toppings (no honey & homemade milk instead of boxed milk)
Why? There is enough fruit in the acai bowl as is so, leaving out the honey cuts out that extra unnecessary sugar. The homemade milk means no gums or added sugar. Gums irritate the gut lining and aren’t easily digested.
- Smoothie – Chocolate Energy + ginger (no honey & homemade milk)
Ginger is excellent for fighting inflammation and it’s delicious. It adds a nice spice that evens out the sweetness from the banana in this smoothie. If you love chocolate milkshakes, GET THIS.
- Hot drink – Reishi Cappuccino (you guessed it, no honey) this tonic is an hormone balancing powerhouse and it doesn’t contain coffee!
- Cold drink – Do yourself a favor and get one of the recovery milks (my favorite is the turmeric or the chocolate). Think, healthy and deliciously creamy chocolate milk for adults (no alcohol haha). It has protein, healthy fats and cinnamon.
If you’re sick or feel a little sickness coming on, go get the kill the cold or an immune shot. Your body will thank you forever. Thank you, Wellness Tree, for being a spokane organic juice bar I LIVE at. hehe
